The Carroll County Jazz Ensemble will present hit songs from the 50’s through the 80’s on Sunday May 5, at 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Westminster High School. Songs will feature Brad Collins, Jeff Boone, Joe Sullivan, Gil Rathel, Nick Reider, Charlie Berry, David Motter, Glenn Patterson II, the trombone section, and Herb Sell as instrumental soloists. Vocal soloists featured are Lori True, Glenn Patterson and Brad Collins.
Selections include, Strike Up the Band, as arranged for the Count Basie Band, Stardust, Stranger on the Shore, Java, I Can’t Stop Loving You, Secret Love, Who’s Sorry Now, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Yakety Sax, In the Mood, Lonesome Road, You Belong to Me, Margie, In A Sentimental Mood, I Let A Song Go Out of My Heart, You Were Always On My Mind, and That’s All.
The concert will benefit the Community Foundation of Carroll County, celebrating their 25th Anniversary and the income will be designated to their General Operations Fund to maintain the staffing and other cost related categories to manage the many funds and scholarships under the umbrella on the Foundation. Gifts are also accepted to support their General Operations Fund. I have attached a flyer with ticket prices and ticket purchase information.
