Carroll Feral Cat Care

Carroll Feral Cat Care is about making a difference in the lives of feral cats that live outdoors in our community. As far back as I can remember in my life, I have cared about the well-being of all animals. I grew up with a menagerie of animals with my siblings. In my early 20's I started volunteering at a local animal shelter in Reisterstown, MD and eventually became the Board President for two years. My mission in life has always been helping animals in need. The past 5 years, my eyes have been open wide to the cats that live around dumpsters, in drainage holes, behind restaurants and even alleyways. Most of these cats are referred to as feral cats, but there are some that were once someone's pet and now live the life of a feral, scavenging for food, shelter and afraid of humans. Feral cats have little or no human contact, very afraid of people, cannot be touched and sometimes born outside-never knowing the life and comforts of an indoor cat. I decided to make a difference by becoming a caretaker to these cats that are in need of food, shelter, spaying/neutering and sometimes medical treatment. The Fund will hopefully open doors for me by reaching out to the community to seek both financial assistance and volunteer support which is greatly needed for these feral cats.

The goal of Carroll Feral Cat Care is to provide financial assistance with the spaying/neutering of feral cats to decrease the population of unwanted cats living in our community. Financial assistance will also help with providing food, shelter and assist with medical expenses when issues arise. Most importantly, educate the community on how humans and feral cats can live in harmony with each other.

Please help me - help them by making a contribution to my organization. There are too many cats in our shelters and having them spayed/neutered and providing basic care is the beginning of decreasing the population and most importantly, decreasing euthanasia rates at our local shelter~ Susette Baker
