Graduating High School Seniors -- 2023 Scholarship Season is now open! The Community Foundation of Carroll County supports more than 55 academic, sports, special circumstances, and 4-H scholarships. The common application is an easy way for students to APPLY ONCE and see all the scholarship opportunities they are eligible for (deadline April 15, 2023). 4-H Club Participants – Use the 4-H/FFA Scholarships common application for additional opportunities just for you (deadline July 1, 2023).

William Granville "Mike" Eaton Memorial Scholarship Fund


The purpose of this Fund is to honor the life of WILLIAM GRANVILLE ”MIKE” EATON by providing a scholarship(s) for a Westminster High School graduating senior(s) and an annual award for an outstanding teacher at that same school both based on the criteria established for this fund in the application

William Granville “Mike” Eaton Memorial Scholarship Criteria

The purpose of this scholarship is to honor the memory of William Granville “Mike” Eaton, English teacher at Westminster High School from 1935 to 1971, with a student scholarship and through recognition of outstanding teachers.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Be a graduating Westminster Senior High School senior.

2. Be accepted at or already attending college or post-secondary school.

Selection will be based on:

1. Essay about the teacher who was your most positive influence.

2. Extra-curricular activities.

3. Decision of the selection committee will be final.

4. Selection committee may decide not to award a scholarship if there are no worthy applicants.
